Flickr
I enjoyed looking at Flickr. I started by looking at Library of Virginia images and was struck by people's comments--like responses to a Rorschach test. People saw what they saw, and not necessarily what the photographer intended. People create their own meaning, just as visitors do when visiting the galleries here. I am not always comfortable with this.

Now that I have gotten here, I forgot the instructions.
I think we were supposed to write something about a web site we just visited and how it might be useful to you, my colleagues, here at the VHS. Is that right? Hmmm . . . maybe that isn't the right prompt. What web sites might be useful to you, my colleagues. . . ? I must have visited some. How about if I just get back to you on this one?
Am I still eligible for the iPod?
And, Katherine, again, what's an iPod?
